Day 30 - The Dukan Diet

Current Weight: 143.8 lbs          Lost yesterday:  1.4 lbs
Total Lost: 16.4 lbs

Breakfast:
- Yogurt & Oats

Lunch:
- Thai Salad from McDonald's, no Thai Glaze & raspberry dressing instead of asian sesame

Snack:
- Asparagus

Dinner:
- Large piece of Top Sirloin & a serving of asparagus

At night:
- a Medium coffee, 1 milk, 2 sweetener


Holy Crap!  I did not expect to see the number I did when I jumped on the scale this morning.  I stepped on hoping to break the 145's, I thought it was totally do-able as yesterday was a great eating day.  Forget the 145's, I skipped the 144's entirely!  I can't believe this.  It looks as though any of that cake I snuck on Sunday has absolutely disappeared.  I am still kind of in shock.

This was my 2nd day of the 2-day routine of the vegetable+protein day.  I think I am going to try it again today, if my body is reacting better to vegetable days, I am going to continue to do them.  I very well could get no weight loss tomorrow, but I think it is worth trying another veggie day, as they are MUCH easier to get through then the pure protein days for me.  When I have a pure protein day, I am lucky to lose .2 lbs, which is a somewhat discouraging number when you want to see things like .4 to .6 on a daily basis.  Hopefully I hop in the scale tomorrow & have similar results.  After doing the 2-day protein last week, I determined it wasn't as beneficial as doing the 2-protein+veggie day, so I am going to opt out of that, but I will give this additional veggie day a whirl & hopefully I can see some good numbers.

The weird thing is, previously when I did no exercise, I saw very little results.  The last couple days I have been particularly sitting on my ass post-work, and I am seeing these results.  Granted this could have a lot to do with the lack of weight loss over the weekend, and it is just catching up, but who knows.

Another thing I did last night that I haven't done yet, is drink a coffee.  I am not much of a coffee drinker, I actually NEVER drink coffee, where on the reverse my boyfriend is addicted.  But last night before his baseball game, I thought, I kind of want something other than water to drink, and not being a huge fan of diet soda, I decided to go for a coffee (I was of course picking one up for my addict-boyfriend and his addict-cousin).  It clearly had no ill-effect on my progress, and maybe it had something to do with speeding it up.  I will try drinking one again tonight, see if it could be my 'liquid asparagus'.

Let's see how this 3rd day Protein+veggie treats me.  I am actually really looking forward to tomorrows weigh-in.
