Day 43 & 44 - The Dukan Diet

Total Lost: 20.4 lbs


Breakfast:
- Yogurt & Oats

Lunch:
- Chicken & Asparagus (Day 43)
- Salad from McD's with Grilled Chicken

Dinner:
- Chicken & Asparagus (Day 44)
- Grilled Chicken Strips & Yogurt

So yesterday I didn't have the time to blog, but I was up .8lbs yesterday morning.  This was the first day I had had significant (or maybe if any) weight gain at all.  It was somewhat expected because I have so been anticipating breaking into the 130's, and I figured my body was going to continue to play sick jokes on me.  Luckily this morning, I stepped on the scale and was only focusing on one number..the second digit, and when it popped up at a 3, I was SO excited.

I have been trying to figure out what my weight gain came from & I have a theory.  We have a large Chicken company that has a factory outlet not far from our house.  I decided instead of buying the chicken I have been buying from the grocery store, I would go there and buy the big cases.  For $35, you get a whole lotta chicken.  When looking at the values, I saw they add a sodium product to the chicken (after I got home).  I assumed all chicken had this, and I didn't have a box of the old chicken I was purchasing to confirm, so I am going to check it out at the grocery store later.  So at lunch, I cooked up 4 chicken breasts, I had 2 for lunch, then 2 for dinner.  To start this is more frozen chicken then I usually would consume, but it was convenient since the BF wanted to do chicken wings for dinner so I thought I could just make 2 plates.  It was really good, until I stepped on the scale the next morning.  The chicken is really the only explanation.  It certainly was not the asparagus or the yogurt.

Also, I generally on vegetable days have a lot more snacks.  I will have celery or cut up peppers & I didn't have anything additional.  I find the more I eat, the more I lose, so that could be something to do with it also.  I am going to have a PV day today, and ensure I eat more vegetables between meals and hopefully tomorrow I can have a big weight loss, since I still feel like some of the water I retained on Day 43 is still kicking around.

Despite all that, I literally cannot believe I am in the 130's...JUST but I am there.  I thought my weight was going to play with me for a couple of days & tease me, but looks like I have broken into it.  I intend on having a solid day today & hopefully I can get back to the 138 that I am sooo striving to attain.  This hits my all-time and the thought of losing another 12 or 13lbs doesn't feel completely out of reach.

This is my debate right.  Dukan says 126 is my TRUE weight, but I think 125 makes sense.  I get that it is just a pound and it will likely only be a couple of additional days, but I feel like I am going to get to that 126 and be done with it lol.  My friends mother who did this said she lost an additional 5lbs once she starting the stabilization phase, so that is also reassuring.  But then again, I don't think she had the addiction to food that I had, & I think her 'celebration meals' aren't Chinese food or pizza hut.  So we will see how we do.  One thing I am going to do though, is commit to weighing myself everyday forever.  This will ensure I realize next time that 5lbs, then 10lbs creeps up on me.

Hopefully tomorrow I can report back in the 138's, so I can get past that hurtle of my lowest weight.
