So I was not surprise this morning when I stepped on the scale and I hadn't lost anything. Yesterdays number was so big that I feel like I won't lose anything for a couple of days. So yesterday was day 3 of my protein+vegetable (PV from now and PP for pure protein) experiment. With the results I was getting on PV I thought I should give it a whirl and if it worked for me, then I would continue with a higher rate of PV versus PP. It looks like a 3rd day has no benefit. I clearly didn't eat anything out of the norm that would have made me not lose weight, so I guess the PP days have their benefit. Even if I am not losing when I step on the scale that morning after a PP day, it is likely that all that catches up once I have a PV day. I am going to have a PP day today, and then two PV days on this weekend.
We are going away for the weekend starting tomorrow morning, so should be interesting to see how I hold up. The b/f has a baseball tournament about 2 hours south of home, so it will be an overnight trip, and I am not sure if there will be a fridge in our hotel room. My main concern: Sunday morning yogurt. I will pack the cooler pretty heavily with ice to ensure I have a cool, not gone bad, serving of yogurt for Sunday morning. I don't think this weekend will be as tricky as last weekends BBQ. With them being in a baseball tournament, I am more distracted and not around bags of chips and delicious white cake hehe.
The weekends without the scale are kind of nice. As long as I eat well, and am somewhat active, the Monday morning weight loss is usually a nice treat after the weekend (not counting last weekends). Every morning I have the same routine, wake-up, do my morning reports, go to the bathroom, then weight myself. I am free of work from the weekend and kind of free of the burden of the daily weigh-in. I am hoping to be down at least .8lbs this weekend to get to the 143 mark. 143lbs = 5 lbs away from my lowest weight ever.
One of the weirdest parts of me losing weight, I can see my ribs. Like obviously if you stretch hard enough you can see your ribs, but when I was chubby, they were not a frequent sight. Now just a little stretch and I am at rib-visibility. Has to be a good sign. Means less fat between my outsides and my ribs. I like it.
Let's hope this weekend goes off without any transgressions, and I come back a lighter person.
