Day 1 - The Dukan Diet

So I have successfully completed Day 1 of the Dukan Diet.

Current Weight: 158.6 pounds.    Lost yesterday: 1.6 pounds.
Total Lost:  1.6 pounds

Breakfast:
- About a cup of Fat-Free Yogurt
- I added my 1.5 tsp of Oat Bran to the yogurt.  I think this will be the way I consume the outbran.  It is hardly noticable when consumed this way.

Snack:
- 4 rolled up pieces of Fat-Free Turkey Slices from the Deli

Lunch:
- 2 Pieces of Ham Steak

Snack:
- About a half-cup serving of Fat-Free Yogurt
Dinner:
- 3 Chicken Kabobs
- A small to medium sized steak

Exercise:  Took a 30-40 minute walk to the store.  I hate walking, I can't see me incorporating this part of the diet on a daily basis, but hopefully I do.

Here are my two dilemmas:  I don't really know what yogurt is okay.  I went to the grocery store & bought my usual fat-free vanilla silhouette yogurt.  After looking at the ingredients, it had "modified corn starch" and additional ingredients that I am not sure are "okay" for the diet.  I have tried to search some online forums but everything is from Europe and doesn't apply to Canadian Brands of Yogurt.  I also bought a "Natural" fat-free yogurt.  It was so gross, I definitely couldn't eat as much of it as I would need to eat, I need it to be sweetened.  I have read multiple sites that say it is okay to have the yogurt vanilla or lemon flavoured, just not fruit flavoured, so hopefully it is fine.

Second Dilemma:  I hate eggs.  Since I was a kid, I have never liked them.  Granted I don't like a lot of food (like the entire list of seafood we can eat), but eggs are pretty close to the top of my 'hate' list, right next to onions & tuna.  Yesterday morning I woke up and said "I am going to make & eat a scrambled egg", I was so determined.  I whipped it together, added some extra egg whites, and a tsp of skim milk.  It looked surprisingly appetizing, then I put it in my mouth.  The texture is just something I CANNOT have in my mouth.  I had to throw it out, I could not do it.  I had this vision of me getting in the habit of waking up every morning, whipping together a delicous batch of scrambled eggs, and not have to worry about eating meat at breakfast, but I can't.  So that is going to be a big obstacle for me to get over.

Hopefully I can overcome the Dukan without Eggs & hopefully the yogurt I am eating isn't the wrong kind.

So all and all, Day 1 was pretty successful.  I am worried I might get kinda sick of eating Meat, but as with most things, I just need to get used to it.  I felt kinda weak last night, and a little nauxious from the amount of meat consumer, but I woke up this morning feeling feel.  Also, I was sooooo thirsty all day, which was good because I got my required daily intake of Water, but it was almost distracting how thirsty I was.

Let's see how Day 2 plays out.
