Yesterday was I think the best results I have gotten on a pure protein day since the "attack phase". I am not sure if it is due to the fact that I have been doing the 2 vegetable days, but these results are promising. I am going to do another pure protein day today, to see if I can have consistent results with the 2 day routine instead.
I didn't do anything out of the norm yesterday, including exercise. I walked a little more than usual with work, but I can't see that having an impact on the weight as it wasn't much more walking. I even had my first transgressions yesterday: I ate 3 mints. I decided I wanted one, I thought "what harm can it do?", so I ate the one, then in true fatty-fashion, I ate the remainder that I had in my purse from dinner the night before. Not that mints are 'fatty', but it just shows, I still am going to struggle with my self-control. I was actually expecting a weight gain on the scale this morning, because I felt so guilty over those 3 mints. I did notice though, having that much sugar, I was kinda shaky and got an almost immediate headache.
For dinner I am continuing to eat Ketchup when I have hamburger patties. I have seen no side-effect to the intake of this (in very small quantities), and it is by favourite 'topping' for a burger, so I am going to continue with this. Over 2 burger patties, I might have 1tbsp, maybe slightly over. I dip it in very sparingly and it really changes the experience for me.
This weekend is a long-weekend, so lots of stuff going on. Thankfully I have made the decision for the 2 day protein then 2 day protein+vegetable. We are having a barbecue for friends on Sunday & should be able to stick to it pretty seamlessly. I literally think back to last weekend, and if I got through all of those temptations I cannot see myself breaking down now, with these results.
Hopefully when I report back (might be Monday, but could take a long-weekend and stretch till Tuesday), I will be below the 15lb overall mark, and on my way to the low 140's!
Enjoy your weekend :)
